Peugeot 206 ( year 2005 Air bag )

Help needed

Wife,s Peugeot 206 year 2005 Air bag light has come on before having a good look just checking if anybody knows anything about air bags, I know the main dealer could be expensive.

It could be a bad conection or even a fault with the airbag itself, but it could also be a prob with the seatbelt pre tensioners. TBH it's not something you really can do at home as you gen need the right gear to find the fault

Peugeot's are renowned for broken wires to the sensor under the drivers seat, have a look under the seat and see if you can spot any broken wires, if found its just a case of joining them back together.

As Neil said, something not to play around with, if I was you I would find a independent Peugeot garage to have a look at it (will cost you nothing like the main agents but just as good)

I have a friend who had this problem and she spent a lot of money at main dealer to find the problem in their diagnostic thinkgy they found no problem 8O She drove with it like this for a while and then one day she had to move her drivers seat up and the light went off 8O she has left her seat in the same position since :lol: still not sure what it was but light is off :lol:

Will go to my local garage and see what can be done. the broken wire under seat is common Reading posts on 206 sites.
