Overall not too bad but don't have ladder on yet as I'm trying to decide whether to paint that or not. Its a bit to chrome for me I think.

Just behind the rear wheel you mean?

I'm still not entirely sure of my plans yet for there.

Wow!!!!! Last time a friend was looking for one of those for his actual Skyline I think he paid over 2k with the clocks, ECU and everythuing else needed.

You must know what you're doing :bow

Skyline motor all good mate, epic.

Wow, looks like you had the roof rack and window guards from my old blue truck, did the guy put it all back to standard? I know he just wanted to tow a caravan with it. Think his brother is well into skylines though.

Yeah I think its back to how it was. Not sure what he did with the lights that you had. He took out the dog guard and floor that you put in, I was tempted with that too but I have a guard in at the mo and still have my rear seats.

The skyline engine had nothing to do with him or his brother.

Just thought id post a couple of pics up as its been ages.

This engine swap turned out to be a lot more difficult than had been thought. When you read the Aussie guys doing it it seems they do the swap in a weekend....so not happening.

They benefit a lot with having parts on there doorstep. I had to get a bit more creative. I also think they cut corners sometimes like not bothering to have the rev counter working. I wanted it done properly.

Engine turned out to be an auto which certainly isn't a bad thing, just made things more complicated.

Much more complicated though was the wiring harness which was also from an auto. Here for example is a pic of thrcwiring harness that was THROWN AWAY!

I had big problems with the clutch and flywheel, trying to find one.

I thought I got one, company was adamant but when it was time to fit, well, it didn't. It was for a 3.0L and that turned out to be a nightmare trying to get my money back :banghead

Had to go a different route and get clutch and single mass flywheel made specially.

Here's the clutch.

Unit is brand new, and has been fitted with a second diaphragm to double the clamp load of the cover assembly in order to take up to and over 400bhp!
It also comes with a ceramic 8 paddle main plate to aid the grip of the clutch and give it a much faster reaction for actuation!
