The procedure isn't difficult, but its quite invasive!

There's no hope of mounting originals back on this once it's done!

I never thought they were the best idea having the mirrors more in a horizontal orientation. My land cruiser I had had them in a more vertical like the ones you have put on and were much better to use and reverse with.

Because the door I have stolen from Brian will need painted to match my Old Girl, the drivers door will have the two dents knocked/pulled out and flashed over with a bit of paint.

I didn't think it was worth it to buy a whole new drivers door.

I know that I'm not going to have time to make my video before the weekend, so I thought I'd treat you all to some pictures! :thumbs

Just a sneak peak at the work needed to modify the Patrol/Transit mirror.

1st, Theres a whole lot of Patrol mirror mount I don't need...

Then the mirror supports from the inside of the Transit mirror are slotted in and I drilled and tapped some holes for screws to keep em in place.

And there you have it... I'm really pleased with the way they look. All the electrics and heated-ness on them work too! :thumbs

I did manage to smash one of the lower mirrors this morning tho! :doh

I was messing around with is to see if I could modify it a little more, my hands were cold and I dropped the glass... No time for a replacement before the show! :doh
