Looking really good :thumb2

Its these little end products that finish it off nicely.

It's nice when you get round to them.

They do seem to get forgotten about or pushed to one side for other more complicated jobs.

But really I'm just procrastinating because I REALLY SHOULD BE DOING MY EXTENDED FENDERS! :doh

Will be good to see the ones you have on.

I've just bought a set too as its either that or destroy my originals.

Bloody nightmare trying to find something suitable and when I do its really expensive, in Australia, wont ship, takes too long as its a made to order.

I just hope what I've got is suitable.

I will probably do an install video... I can't find any online for the fenders I'm using!

Made a video about fitting my awning: https://youtu.be/RdZpApK6Ygk

Heres some pics once it was set up.

That's the same as my awning, it's an awesome piece of kit. Get yourself the tent that goes with it and an extension awning, then you'll have the perfect home from home. :thumbs

How does it attach to the roof rack? Does it need a certain mounting

It comes with two 'L' brackets.

I had to drill out the holes to make them a little wider as my FrontRunner rack uses M8 Bolts.

Just wondering if you'd do a video on your on board display thingy. And if you do, make sure there's lots of crayon for the hard of thinking!

I will do Brian.

Mk 3.1 is in the works and I'll do a full video on the hole thing. :thumbs

Got a new modification coming soon.... Think this one (If it goes well) might be popular! :naughty

I will try to get it done before the 4x4 Expo, but no promises! :lol

Today I had a nice relaxing 'Off Road' picnic planned with my son!

Unfortunately it didn't turn out like that. :doh

Let me set the scene...

We were headed up hill and the ground was a little soft. This soon turned into mud and the up hill climb became increasingly difficult.

Since there was only me and a four year old for miles around, (and no phone reception!) I decided it was probably for the best if I turned round.

This then became a 20 minute struggle as all the tread was filled with mud and the ruts were getting deeper with every wheel turn.

Unfortunately I don't have any pics of this, as my main concern was getting my son off the mountain!

Once I had gone thru all the options of gear choice, including Diff Lock and It was still getting me nowhere... Well actually, I was getting somewhere, but not where I wanted. I was slipping towards a gate post.

The last resort was to let the air from my tyres to gain more traction.

Unfortunately at this point I was so close to the gate post, I could not manoeuvre away from it. I had to make the decision to just drive...

That meant the side of the patrol was gonna get it! :(

Worse yet, the hade post had a protruding bolt that held the gate... This is what did most of the damage.

I ended up with severe damage across the two doors, a smashed wing mirror and a wheel arch torn off! :doh

No one was hurt and the fence post survived! (I'm pleased about that, because I would of hated to tell the guy who owns the land that I'd messed up his new fence!)

Got home and cleaned the car to asses the damage properly.

It's not as bad as I thought...

It's worse! :(
