Jocky as you know i have been moding mine since I got it Mainly due to the fact that it was much slower
than my 2003 3.0 T2
I never had any issues on my t2 had it 5 years and covered and 120k
We took it to Spain and back with my caravan on the back 5 times but it was always well serviced
that's why i got another 3.0L Auto
Performance Mods to date
3 guage set up as recommend by the Patrol Forum I can see oil pressure, Boost presure and Exhaust gas Temp post turbo
Injection mod from diesel Bob (as all Injection mods are nearly the same just increase fuel timing via the fuel pump)
Full 3" s/steel twin box exhaust System (built by me) as every one i asked quoted silly money
Single 17" main cooling fan removing viscous standard one (easy to refit if viscous if towing in hot climates ) Makes less noise and more free reving
Single 12" Inter cooler fan manually switched
The Only problem i have found to date is the over boost issue after fitting the bigger exhaust, u can see on the exhaust temp readings how much cooler it runs
but if you start to feed in to much fuel the temp starts to go back up,
The over boost issue is not a real problem i have been working out the best pressure to run at, to achieve the best performance.
Rolling road is what i would like to use and set the car up on there but non are available locally to me.
The Patrol Is one hell of a mota will literally go any where you ask it to, mine has seen some very steep hills, deep water, and loads and loads of Mud cant really fault it at all. :thumb2
Just one Real pain in the ass is parking as all parking spaces seam to be getting smaller but if you find a nice open car park every one keeps away :lol:lol
