www.nissan4x4ownersclub.com is where it has been at for many years now, not sure what bookmarks you guys have 'book marked'.I deleted favourites/bookmarks etc, in all machines, phone, tablet and laptop, googled the club, got into the page with every section, NOT the 'home'page I used to get.
I think the change/modification/revamp.......call it what you will, has stuffed up this site and forum access......bit miffed really.
The old adage comes to mind.....if it ain't broke, don't fix it........:nenau

It wasn't broke, but if we hadn't have moved you would be seeing nothing right now. The old server was being decomssioned so we had to get off.
The server move, which was being handled by the guys in the data centre, was a joke. They feked it up big style.
The upshot being, I decided to move the site my self to a much faster server based in Germany. If folks have been having problems finding the site then unfortunately there is nothing I can do about that.
The code that was running the original home page is not supported by the version of PHP that we are now running. But, if folks had simply typed the above URL into a browser they would have found the place.
As someone has said somewhere here, the worlds DNS servers can take up to 48 hours to point to the sites new IP address, this should have been the maximum amount of time that folks couldn't find us.
I think part of the problem is, most of us found this site while searching on Google (etc) for something specific wrong with our car, and the link from google was to that specific part of the forum, then once we finished reading that part, we bookmarked the next sensible place we got to, in my case, it was the "show todays posts" URL, and for others was the page it took you to, when you pressed the home button, both links now no longer work, and return a nasty error. Ironically its a downside to the forum having been so reliable for so many years, we have never had to question the links we saved until now.
This has got me rather worried actually that there are still members out there that may be struggling
What did you do out of interest to get back in? Was it a shortcut or a bookmark you were using?
I suppose it depends what you bookmarked. I had bookmarked the now defunct latest post page.Im still using my old bookmark:nenau
