Hi All,
To avoid a big traffic jam we took our swb Terrano though a deep ford (2.5 foot deep and 30 foot across) and stalled, twice. Managed to get out in low range. Power dipped a little after that on the way home, that but cleared up. Checked the oil and no obvious signs of water in it (looking for emulsification). Sprayed wd40 into all the connections and left it drip drying on the inclined drive. Restarts fine, a bit of smoke and a whining noise from the exhaust, but for all I know they were always there, and it's difficult to judge smoke I the dark witha torch as it shows up so much more.
Glad we got out, as it was a little hairy (especially as my wife was driving and it was my fault we went in).
Never again ! (In my wife's Terrano anyway)
What else do I need to look out for to make sure the Terrano is not broken?
