I know ive already said it once but i used to feel like setting light to mine as the fuel economy was lousy 17-18mpg manual hubs lifted that to around 26mpg that was with it loaded to the roof about 750kilos in the car and anothr 1500kilos trailer for much of the miles it did on BFG AT tyres.

The other stuff including monlyslip, full services, brakes etc, made little noticabe difference, the i do remember felling that molyslip made it feel much smoother and more powerfull.

The only other thng i can suggest is this:

as the viscous assebmly is part of the water pump, it can cause your fan to do erratic things, when it is going wrong, ie running too much and wasting fuel, or not enought and therefore wasitng fuel through overheating.

The water pumps on these are notoriusly dodgey, and its the only other thing i have done that seemed to make a big performance difference especialy when towing, you could hear the fan cut in and out afterwards and see the fule guage rise and drop accordingly.

I replaced the water pump 6 months ago, you are right about the molyslip everything sounds and feels smoother

Only other thing to suggest is have her tuned by diesel specialists, the same as having a petrol engine "Krypton Tuned". Going back to the fuel/air mix, they would be able to tune her for optimum fuel efficiency.

Matt.

i also found molyslip good on steering, i have noticed many t2's have heavy power steering when standing or crawling, molyslip seems to fix this pretty well.

Had the terrano off road on very wet soggy grass towing my new trailer i bought from Super U, worked a treat didn't get stuck once even when reversing the trailer, but did leave horrendous marks on the grass.

Off to Nontron will post more when i have more results
