Im still trying to get to the bottom of thr running issue on father in laws 2.7tdi maverick. I have done fuel lines and filter. No mini filter. Its still stuttering/missing between 2.5k and 3k rpm. Now today I unplugged the number 1 injector and it ran the same im assuming thats because its causing the fault???? Any idea how to tell if its bosch or zexel???

Look at the MARF it'll say either Hitachi or Bosch on it. that seems the easiest way :thumbs
 
id say its very possible - if its not right then the timing of injection is wrong etc etc etc - the No1 injector will affect the other three in terms of fuelling. Its an expensive thing to diagnose in terms of getting a new one fitted, but id say the injector is ready to be replaced if it hasn't already- I did mine at around 120k miles....
 
Yeah I don't know what else to try? It is my last resort due to price. Its a strange proplem though as its not there at half throttle but any thing over half throttle between them revs and its like a bucking bronco!

did u rev the engine with injector no. 1 unplugged or just let it idle
 
did my no1 injector recently it was in limp home mode mil light on and would rev but only go 30 mph have you read the codes?
 
No eml? No stored codes? Drives fine apart from in that rev range?

have you checked the leak off pipes on the injectors ? . as mine couched a lot and I found they where not a tight fit . plus I can't get all the air out the fuel filter so some of the guys on here says to replace the filter housing with one on ebay as the Nissan ones are crap

when mine was doing it . I had the codes read came back nothing . so he told me to put some injector cleaner in the filter and drive it like you stole it for a couple of miles. then after that leave it over night and drive it normal . that worked for a bit so I ended up putting a bottle in the tank as well . runs not bad now

some1 I no had something like what u have he put a electric inline fuel pump and sorted his problems the lift pump in side the ip could be ur problem might not

How do they seal to the injector?
Have you tried putting clear fuel pipes on from the filter to see if you have any air in the lines?
 
Ill take a picture. Yeah done clear line and there is one tiny bubble every couple of mins
