Ok,it's time i think to see about a north mini meet!!
We have quite a few members in Scotland now and a few from just over the border!
Was thinking of organising a meet but where and when?
I was thinking of somewhere central like Stirling area,or we could just head for one of the big cities??
Then there's the dates?
Of coarse, anybody who wants to travel from the south would be more than welcome
So lets have your thoughts then peeps :?:

I would be up for it  but could it poss be a bit further south as Stirling will be about a hour drive to get there & almost 3/4 of a tank of fuel

You'd better watch all those cameras on the A1 if your going to do Stirling in an hour pal
We'll see what the others say about dates a site!

  Sounds good to us if not in work..Do you still only trade with coal & the like?

Is this a weekend, camping thingie - or just a meet up, chat, mill around and go to the pub sort of thingie? I guess it's not going to be a greenlaning thingie - as there are so few north of the border (unless you guys know different). There's a lane that I know of that runs from Tushielaw to Tibbie Shiels - and a few Forestry Commission "forest drives" that you could do in a Nissan Micra.

If you are looking for somewhere cheap to tent or take a caravan, you could do worse than Lettershaws Farm, near Abington J13 M74 (I think they'd do a rally if we wanted that) - it's only about £7 a night for a caravan, 3 adults and an electric hookup. We've used it a few times as a stop-off on the way to or back from north west Scotland (from Clachtoll in Sutherland last August for example). http://www.plenderleith.com/lettershaws/

We've only just come back from Tayside - spent 10 days over Easter at Cruachan Farm near Killin (with a couple of days shopping and the like in Stirling). Hadn't planned on going north of the border again until end of July - but there's always the half term holidays at the end of May.

Cheers
Andrew

Looks good Andrew, what are the dates for the May half term! Just so happens i am off for 14 days from the 17th so the end of may would be fine for me,how is everybody else for this date?
Or would we prefer to have it at some other date?
I think it is just going to be a mini meet, hopefully with a nice pub on hand, and maybe a BBQ! As you rightly say we are lacking a bit on the laning side of the border :? !

ok hows the 24th and 25th of May sound, yet to pick a site :?
Or 7th and 8th of june

Hi Cosmic.

Cheers

Hi Cosmic

I live in Glasgow so Abingdon or anywhere roundabout would be ideal as it is only about an hours travelling.

Peter.
