noisy back end

driving the t2 last week with the window open and heard lots of strange noises form the rear end like a klicking nois when under load and when off the throttle any pointers would be good thanks guys

Are you sure it's from the back ? Auto hubs not disengaged properly ?
Brake shoes fallen apart ?

any idea when your diff oil was last changed? had one of the members with sad graunching noises from the rear end I thought it was knackered took the rear cover plate off expecting to see a mess, clean as a whistle, changed the oil for LSD, took it up the road, all sorted, cannot remember his name and he is no longer on here, so he got a good deal only charged him for the oil, Rick

Nobody ever told me that I could take the rear cover off!!! I might do that with mine and see if I can see anything that would be causing my rattle

Only on late c200 axled terranos after 2001 do u have a backplate

Early ones have the stronger h233b with 3rd member diff that drops out from the front after removing prop

stinka is correct, just change the oil first, if you find you need a diff then cncfabs will probably have one, I only have petrol models ratio slightly different, Rick

thanks guys auto hubs ok anti rollbars ok new brake shoes 3 months ago gonna strip them down again next week and work my way thru the back end diff oil changed regular
