we climbed the full height up the side on the left of the picture :D

and the waterfall in all its glory from the bottom , was great when I explained to Deb that it wasnt really a climb up the right hand side there, more a sort of steep scramble :D

Anyone else get out and about walking????

great pics!!

Im not a "walker" as such, not in rambling terms, but I do love to get out into the countryside when I can to do some exploring! I live near a nice old quarry with a woodland area, so we get to walk there often and its litterally round the back of our house!

Nice picys :thumbs :clap

If his a true Staffy  @ what point did he want carrying & food :lol

we're not sure if he is 100% staffy , he was a rescue dog last August. Having said that I think he is because whilst he's skinnier than most that could be underdevelopment from his early days plus the level of fitness we keep him at :D everything else about him from his attitude to his muscular build and chewing ability is 100% plus staffy :lol:lol Doesnt matter anyway, hes a cracker.

He doesnt go for carrying (fortunately) and did the full 10mile plus and the climb. His attitude to the climbing is fantastic .

He was fastened to me via an elasticated rope lead to his harness that'll easily take his weight if he falls.

What he does is throw himself at the rocks in classic staffy "tackle a problem" manner :lol:lol. If they beat him (and i usually have to stop him trying) he waits for me to lift him by the harness, waits for me to catch up then hes off again.

Food? he loves it and snacks on the go :lol:lol:lol

Do you have one at the mo? i know youre a fan :thumb2

just looking at the pictures has made me breathless, i must get out more :thumbs

he looks 100% staffie to me :thumb2

That looks ace mate, can you give me more details where it is please.

illy

No problem, if you go on google maps and lat long 54.652989,-2.289155 youre there :thumb2

Im told its one of the biggest waterfalls in England , its a natural waterfall on the Tees but in the 70's the valley was flooded to make Cow Green reservoir so its just below that

Depending which way you go is at the begining or end of a superb walk.

We follow the river through some boulder fields and moorland to end up there, did about ten miles good day out :thumb2

better still use the maps on bing.com and go to birds eye view. The lat long takes you to the top of the waterfall and you can see the white water on the sat pic going down for about 200m.

its odd when you climb up but its the way the area is, youve followed tracks and boggy paths climb the rocks and pop out onto ................. a tarmac'd service road. The "fat day trippers" look a bit shocked when you pop up in front of them :lol:lol:lol:lol

Cracking looking place Dave, shame you got a random criminal in the first one though:lol

Jim

PS nice doggy:thumbs ours came first in her first serious agility comp today:clap
