re-ar drum modle/front disks r reg 2.4 petrol/so how easy r front pads to take out r they the like old type with pins and split pins do they have bolts that the calipers slide on do they have anti rattle shims, got noisey brakes need to strip down.on the rear drums do you have to remove centre nut to remove drums,is it a castle nut or one off the ones you smack with chisel to stop iy unwinding

To do the fronts just undo the lower bolt on the caliper & swing the caliper up & take out the pads it's that easy, the rears the drum just slides off but they can stick in position so you can screw in 2X M8 bolts into the holes in the drum which release it:thumb2

thanks does anything hold rear drums on once the rear wheels are removed thanks s:thumb2:thumb2:thumb2

no drums just pull off once wheels removed, but wear/rust ridge may be a problem, keep tapping the drum to vibrate the shoes back to the backplate when using the bolt removal method, Rick

thank r the front brakes 4 pot calipers does this mean they have no sliding parts like say a 2 pot fiesta

Each front caliper has two pots and two slider pins. The bottom slider pin can sieze in place so you may need to use plenty of lube and effort to get it out and re-grease with copper slip. I actually bent one of mine trying to get it out. (Note: replacements are not cheap)
