Well hello gang I've just subscribed without even owning a nissan! But I'm in the market for a jeep and have been looking towards a terrano as I only want to spend upto £2500. I will use my jeep for camping, fishing transporting my family around whilst towing our folding caravan dog walking, tip runs, a bit of spare time plastering etc. Unfortunately I have to work (boo hiss) and travel 336 miles every fortnight (car share) on motorway. I don't break speed limits just keep up with traffic, I used to do the work travel in a nissan interstar which was a superb van. The old nissan would get about 36-38 mpg but was slightly to big for every day life plus couldn't take me off road to my favourite fishing marks. I now drive a fiat sedici with a little part 4x4 system, but this car is proving to physically small but returns 46mpg.
What model terrano do you experienced terrano and 4x4 enthusiasts think would suit me, I like reliability...... Is the 3.0 terrano a gamble with the well publicised piston over heating prob....... Is the 2.7 tdi frugal enough to get at least 32 mpg on a motorway run. Is a patrol 2.8 a consideration. I could possibly be able to get used veg oil from work??
Questions questions lol
