That looks sweet!!!!!! Get on it bro and check for that rot!!!!

Only slight problem is...
If anyone on here sees it, and it's better than theirs, :augie they might do a part Ex lol....
:lol:lol

The link doesn't work for me on my ipad, just thought I'd say.
Anyone else see it, mind you I couldn't help, but just curious, or just plain nosey lol that's all. :lol

Works on my phone. Oh wait, of course, it's not an iPhone, it's an Android Samsung!

:augie

Very good point rustic! But so far away haha. Im going to look at trains today.

banshee. Yeah man im on the rot check I have my overall at the ready haha.

Leaves no money for mods but looks great

There's always money for mods :naughty
You've just got to earn it by hook or by crook :sly

hi
it looks good but it's an import, you will have to check to see if this affects the insurance, also might be wise to give them a ring and see where it was imported from and how long its been in the country , might be able to call in at some point and have a look for you but i'm no mechanic.
ian

hmmmm new terrano :lol only kidding the wife would kill me :doh

Picking up on the import point, it may not have the same rust treatment as some of the Terranos.

Yeah its an import and has been registered as a van for some weird reason and insurance was 2grand. Ruddy mental. Onwards with the swarch ha.

but a terrano isn't a troll !!!!

anyhow check for that rust... also I know I shouldn't say it but don't forget or rule out other makes of truck..

trouble with all of them is they are getting old and alot have issues of rust ect.. I have an early 3L patrol with one owner from new, has a tunit box fitted and pulls lovely I really love it, I don't drive it in the week as I'm only a mile ish from work but I really look forward to driving it at the weekends..

I would still entertain an early 3L troll with good history or a 2.8. I am aware of the risks of the early 3L but I still think they are a good truck and have a lot more torque than the 2.8. The 2.8 has its issues but when running right with a few minor mods that 6 cylinder is a lovely reliable drive..

I would still go for a troll but once you've had one its difficult to go for anything else, I would like to go for a later model such as a 07 plate but the tax puts me right off at £500 a year so have been looking at 55 plates just recently.

Yeah I know I just dont have the money at the moment as works quiet over winter.

before I found this site I almost bought a 3.2 shogun lwb and its back up for sale again by the same guy.

I just want to offroading and cause some havoc haha but it also has to be able to do 25000 miles a year.

25k a year[emoji33]
You need to go the 2.7 route to take advantage of the vegi oil running costs surely.
I too love the patrols but couldn't justify running one as a daily driver let alone doing 25k a year!

Amen!!!!!

I could be wrong but the 2.8 Trols might be veg compatible, it being an older engine and all :nenau

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif.../make/nissan/model/terrano_ii/page/1/usedcars

put a deposit on this and the trains booked for tomorrow. Should be picking it up at 12.

Leaves enough money for a full service of everything and some new at tyres.

What do you recommend in terms of tyre size lads? Thinking yoko geolanders. Or extreme cooper stt

That looks like a very nice example matey, Sport spec too with the half leather :naughty Looks like it's got a few of the optional extras too including a spoiler and that front bull bar is a new one on me too, not seen one of those on a Mk4 before mate :thumb2

Things to check;

RUST - THE KILLER!!!!!!!!!! - If it's rust free, everything else can be replaced relatively cheaply if it goes wrong, so make this you're priority. Front bumper re-enforcer, get in the wheel arches with a good torch, check the seams where the road crud is forced into, sills, bang them and check for weakness or crunchyness, these like to rot inside out. All of the underneath of course, get up in all of the nooks and crannies. Engine bay, look around the battery area, on tops of wheel arches etc.

Check the oil levels etc, look for oil leaks from sump at front, seals like to go

Injector Pump - Check for any leaks, can be seen from drivers side through wheel arch if you pull the rubber arch liner away, dont break the clips!!!!

Fuel Lines - Run along the chassis all the way to the back of the tan, check for corrosion, a pin prick is all it takes for these cars to draw air in and run like crap, while chasing these back to the rear of the tank, check thee tank itself around the seams as I've seen tanks on 03 plates that have been literally pouring out.

Propshafts - Shake them side to side, check the spiders for play, and when test driving feel for any reverberation through the steering wheel or acceleration based knocking, this will be the Union Joints, cheap as chips and easy enough to replace but managed to get me some wonga knocked off mine when I brought it :naughty

Can't think of much more at the min, if I do I'll reply again :thumb2

Hey banshee.

Cheers for the advice, I have packed my torch and a screwdriver for looking about. I didnt even think about the fuel lines so good to know.

Yeah I like the wee bull bar not that it will do anything though.

How do I check the manual hubs work as ive only really test drove 3.0s the last 2.7 I drove I forgot to even check them.

Cheers again

It depends if it has them buddy

If they are manual, you'll have to physically get out and twist them from "free" to "lock" It looks unlikely that these are fitted as the alloys still have the Nissan wheels caps on so I'd say they are going to be fixed hubs

So just a case of chucking it in 4WD on some slippy stuff and make sure all 4 wheels are spinning. If they are fixed hubs, front prop will always be spinning so check the UJ's up front on that too :thumb2
