Thanks for that :thumb2 looks really simple, they don't cause any issues?

A question I've asked on here a few times with out much luck

From what I've read,

Can cause bearings to ware faster.

An if they make the wheel / tyre pass body work may fail mot

Hmm just bearings that id have to look out for. Mot not a problem :augie

He'll put the old wheels on...:augie

If they stick out too far, the Police will pull you over to measure them, if they have their speeding quota.
You can buy extended wheel arches, which will meet all your requirements.:thumb2

I guess you had to space out the spare wheel carrier too.:nenau

They look great.:thumb2

I have a few places that would not bat an eyelid :clap

So if i buy that fat set (as quoted) do i need more or longer bolts? Or does it go straight on?

Any mod to wheels/offset/size etc is going to put more load on the wheel bearings, but I would say the T2 bearings are well over spec'd in the first place, Rick

Good call, the bearings are huge just make sure you check for wear and adjust if need be. Don't buy wheel spacers from eBay they are chinese crap!
Anyone wanting wheel spacers let me know I can make them to any size you want at about £150 a set.

Over spect or over stressed?

Are you saying it will cope pretty well?

They are bloody expensive too

Oh really?

Didn't see this. So how far out could I get my tyres? Within reason. I'd be well up for having an aggressive stance on the terrano :D

they are over specified, but to do the job properly they must have some pre load, check the manual for the amount, if you have play it is very bad, Rick

been running on 33's for over a year and had no issues with the bearings, wheels do stick out a bit to get through mot i just cut some rubber strips and screwed them into the arches, i do have a bit of camber but when the better weather is here i will get that sorted as since the move i have to do everything roadside :(

i wouldn't bother with wheel spacers just get some rims with a good off-set

Warning noob in the house. :lol :nenau

Would you be kind enough to show me a set that would fit 235 70 16s

Sorry to be a pain....

I'm after the same kinda look on the first picture on this post :sly

235 is pretty much standard wheel size, shouldn't really need any offset for them and they wont stick out what so ever, they will fit the rims you have if they are 16"

Wheel spacers can be made to your own spec, I'm running 38mm and with standard alloys the tyres just sit proud of the arch. I'll post a picture tomorrow of the spacers and how the wheels sit with the arch. I own an engineering company and have made many a set of spacers for all types of vehicles. I'm not plugging for the business ill leave that up to the Muppets selling them on eBay but I don't mind doing them for peoples who want quality products!

I would love to see a picture. What tyres are you running?
This may be the easy option for me as I am prob going to put new tyres on my existing alloys. The standard 16" so some spacers would do the job. Just wondering if ATs will look mean enough further out... :naughty
