just bought myself a terrano 2 SE, 2.7TDi so, as is customary when buying a new car, decided to join up here!

reckon i might have heard about this site from Banshee on another forum.

Good to see you've joined up here - tons of great info and plenty of folks that would be happy to meet up for a bit of green laning.

Sorry, should have sent you the link - my bad!

Now I have no Terrano, but I'm still on here - the lads (and lassies) here are a great bunch and Briggie's jokes are always something to look forward to.

no worries. i changed the filter yesterday and back to running like a dream, got a couple more in the boot just in case.

going to see if i can scrounge a FPHE on the veggie forum too.

also meant to ask when the oil was last changed so i can set myself a reminder to get it done.

That's a relief! Tbh can't remember when the oil and filter need doing, therefore it's probably an idea to do it fairly soon. If you haven't got one already, get a metal band clamp for the oil filter as it's at the back of the engine. Either through passenger wheel arch or dangle half your body over the passenger wing to get it.

Ah Dazza!!! Welcome matey :thumb2

That's funny you've just posted over here as I was just about to go and post over there as I'm selling all my Bio gear as I don't need it anymore as I've moved way closer to work and can't take it to the new house anyway :(

Next time I'm in Derby bro I'll have to pop and see you so you can see my setup.

I've binned normal filter in place of a clear plastic mesh filter, fitted a heat exchanger, binned the banjo bolt filter on top of the IP and removed the swirl chamber in the tank as prone to getting clogged with crap, in place I've fitted some sexy pipes that suck right to the last drop of the tank :naughty

panelbeater too! what a small world haha.

i'm gonna fit a heat exchanger just for a bit of extra peace of mind but havent really thought of any other mods. Yorkie Chris has invited me to follow him around the dales in his disco and is trying to convince me to get some off road mods done!

i'm considering getting rid of my bio gear and going full veg but its just in the back of my mind i might need the bio one day, plus i can convert all the leftover sludgy crap into bio in the summer that would usually be good for the bin.

yeah let me know when you're next up these ways, i'm usually around in the week (day and evening) and most weekends.

Biggest problem with mods is the insurance - as well as the cost of doing it!

Stock Terrano will eat a tricked out Disco for lunch anyway - might be worth taking the towbar off for a better clearance on some tracks though.

PM Zippy your location and he'll add you to the members map, fairly sure there's a few T2's in your neck of the woods.

exactly, the mods cost enough without declaring it too.

to be fair we did some pretty scary stuff in it yesterday and it showed no signs of struggling or bottoming out. but yeah tow bar and side steps off would be a good idea for fun days.

Did somebody say something about eating Land Rovers?
Lets Go :naughty

Am I about to be embarrassed about the state of the oil in her now? That's an awesome test for oil condition though.

Are you giving up completely, veg and all or just bio?
