I parked the car a bit back on the drive and the puddle at the top of the block paving on the picture was after the car had been stood 5 mins so losing a lot of fluid from somewhere.what a nightmare how much do you keep throwing at it before your wasting money?:doh

Annette. Is it oil that's leaking? Scrub that question. Just re-read your initial post.

Hi its diesel mechanics just looked at it.its emptied the tank aswell. He's going to have a proper look at the weekend.parked it over the gravel on drive as it was pouring alover the road.:doh:doh:doh

Fuel lines are probably leaking at the rear and the leak off pipes at the engine.

Fuel lines are a reasonably easy diy fix as are the leak off pipes, reasonably cheap as well.

Yes he said it was fuel lines.is it a case of just tightening up or more to it?sorry if it's a stupid question :lol

No such things as a stupid question.

They'll need renewing front to back, both the feed and return. It's not worth trying to repair them. I'm no genius when it comes to working on cars like Elty, Makeitfit, and Banshee, and it took me an afternoon to replace them working on ramps, cost about £40 in rubber fuel lines, jubilee clips and tie wraps.

If you've a modicum of diy skills it's well within your capabilities.

I did a write up in one of my threads as have others. When I'm back on my computer I'll post a link to it. Others can help with leak off pipes.

They are corroded; had the same with my brake lines. Especially where the pipes pass through a bracket on the chassis.

If I were you I would ask the mechanic to replace both fuel and brake lines - if you're even a bit handy you can do the fuel lines yourself, does not even require the car to be lifted. See the workshop download for info.

Totally get the diesel thoughts and suggestions and diagnosis but as a thought could the air conditioning (if you have it) drain under the truck be adding to the size of the staining if it is mixing with the dripping diesel. Only ask as you may be running it to help dry the car out a bit. I always get a nice puddle when I run the air con.
