Did the mechanic say any more about the intercooler oil / needing new turbo?

Hi no he said the turbo was fine the oil was coming from rocker cover all the bolts where loose so he tightened all them but said something about a new gasket or something like that a new seal I think it means :nenau:lol

It looks like a really tidy truck though, same colours as mine, and they are worth a bit of hassle, you will get very attached to it, mine is called Sarah

Only thing with mine now is a soggy footwell and rust, lots o rust, but I've just bought a welder :naughty, what I lack in skill I make up with enthusiasm :lol

Managed to get most of the oil and diesel off the drive as well :naughtysprayed it with Mr muscle oven cleaner left it half hour then scrubbed it with hot soapy water worked a treat:thumbs

Did you re-use the existing clips?

Don't know what he used to be honest just know the pipe he took off was not the same the one he put on was like braided on the outside :nenau

Sounds like he's just replaced the leak off pipe for a new one and re-used the old spring clips

I did that once and then realised after I'd put it all back together that one of the spring clips had a fracture in it and wasn't clamping as hard as it should have been and as a result one of my leak offs started to weep again.

All sorted now, would have made more sense while you're mech was it it to replace all of the leak offs and clips for some of these that I linked earlier
