Cross light rail in the spray booth before fitting, the idea was to have one light mounted on each end with the other lights slighytly higer in the middle, this lifted the fitting bolts clear of the number plate surround

just need to connect the relay into the main beam wiring .. its the green wire with the black line, which was conveniently in the middle of the bundle

The brackets were fitted through the vent in the bumper so no holes were drilled in the plastic, fairly substantial steel bar was used to reduce the shaking of the lights when fitted

Wires run in under the nearside wing and through a spare grommet. outer and inner pair of lights switched seperately and on seperate relays

Of course it rained, but you can see here the light bar fitted with the lights a LOT c cheaper than buying a ready made one and it doesn't look too bad either. Just got to line them up properly now and change the bulbs on the inner pair for 100w supplied with the lights as a swop for the standard 55w

Lined the lights up at work this morning. and went for a drive in the country tonight to see how they looked. They are still 4 x 55w plus the 55w standard main beam, it was like driving in the daylight, amazed at what a difference they make. they don't seem to be focused to a beam more sort of wide with a bit of a beam in the middle. But very pleased with the result, £25 per light plus about £30 for the steelwork and electrics, so all done for less than £150

£150 bargain!! compared to hitting the fallen tree or tramp you wouldn't have seen!:clap

Don't let the wife tell you that's a waste of money!!

Good job that man!!!:clap

any chance you could furnish us with a wiring diagram ? I've got the standard square fog lights at the botom of the bumper which don't work, and a set of round ones which were on the bumper, but they don't work either !
The switch, relays, and wiring is all there but it doesn't work

Wiring on mine is same as, but I picked up the supply into pin 86 from the main beam wire from the wiring loom. This means the spot lights will only come on when the main beam lights are on

should have a switch in there as well.

some MOT places will fail it on that... some not all

Clean yer glasses Zippy, two green switches in front of the gear stick. ;)
The way I understand it the supply to the switches comes from the main beam wire, so there's no power there when the lights are off.
Mine comes from the side light bulb, but it doesn't work at all :(

check switches WORK... one of mine didnt... but been in tool box since i was 18..

if all parts work.. REWIRE with new. take all the old out. could be a brake some place..

N.B. ( latin that is ) how did you know I wear glasses..
