I have the swb terrano 2, but drastically need more height clearance on the rear diff!
Defo need 2 be able to get over the same and better than my mates disco :lol

Was down at a tyre dealship that deals in 4x4 tyres n according to them with a 31/1050/15 i've only acheive a 1/2" lift! need more like 2 at least as there's already a 1" differance between the disco and terrano diff heights :(

he was recommending isna turbo tyres? @ 265/75/15 to give me a 43mm differance!! if put on 16's should get an extra 1/2" :)

any1 know if these tyres r any gd off road?

also will i have to do anything else 2 be able 2 get them on my currently standard wee beasty? spring changes? shock changes? suspension lift?

well those 15 " tyres won't fit on those 16" rims though...

Don't be so hung up on size...
It's what you do with them that matters:augie

265/75/16s insa turbo awesome tyres mate and dont worry about the disco, terrano will eat it for breakfast :lol Watch the insa tyre on the road though esp when wet  You will need more stopping room.
Also remember you've only got one diff to worry about :D
However if you want proper clearance try some 33s that's the way to go. A quick 50mm body lift and you're done :thumbs

so for 33's just do the body lift:nenau is that what your saying, cause i was thinking of 31's but if 33's fit with just the lift i may go that way:naughty

2" body lift should be enough, I've lost track of all the combinations :doh
Certainly the cheapest way and at worst you may need to loose the mud flaps :thumb2

32s muds won't fit without some hammering. My 31s rub when full lock and when the suspension goes up even by a bit.

Cheers guys, yeah need 2 get a hold of some 16 steelys (extremely difficult) getting a test tyre sent over hopefully 2 day see how it looks (will post pics)

Any1 know what other wheels will fit terrano? I.e. shogun?

cheers 4 letting me know that the stop distance is shocking, it may just stop me tailgating lol

Well I used to run 33s with a 2" suspension lift and a bit of Mr Hammer attention :D so rather assumed a 2" BODY LIFT would allow the same :sly but cheaper :clap
it's all to do with your wheel offset too regarding rear tub rub and arb removal etc etc

yeah Mr hammer is needed. I need a bit on these 31s which I plan to do tomorrow.

did you get out sunday?

Yep morning was good but Wayfairer was way too far and , erm, well a big farm track

Never been before so can only guess it has  Happey Valley had been dug too to clear any water and mud runs, bloody gay lords :(

I don't quite understand the differance between a body n suspension lift regarding complexities n benefits?

But I have gots 2 big a** sample tyres that will both fit! :D
Both r insa turbos one's the Dakar n the other the ranger both r 265/16/70r :D things r nearly half the height of me!

Will up load pics l8r when I figure out how! :lol

re photos , get yerself a photobucket account and upload them to that, then post the links on here.

but your on standard rims arent you ? you need big offset if your going up with the tyres

on photobucket slide pointer over pic will give u a selction of codes if u click on img code it should say copied u can then paste that in middle of ur thread and it will auto link the pic into ur post

hope that helps enjoy the site

20mm offset works well. But remember your tyres still may rub at the front back arch when on full lock / when the suspension moves. So you may need to hammer it back.

edit: Your tyres are the same approx size as mine. The muds will rub the front arch at the back.

they do look as if some hammering may be required 2 turn properly! i don't know think i gonna have 2 go with 15's on the big dakar tyre tho cos i can't find 16" steels anywhere :(

yeah i on standard rims, so do i need 2 get bigger wheels anyho? n what suits?
