37 miles to the gallon is what I achieved yesterday. Around half motorway, half fast A-B roads & some villages/towns.

Diane at my side & Monkey Dog in the back.

I brimmed before leaving, tripped to zero & I've just brimmed.

I'm quite happy at that.

I stuck to the speed limits as best I could ;) Rarely going above them & not going much under them on the Motorways.

No way!!!! you've done the maths wrong

I did 302 miles. Brimmed it with 38 litres & I divided the 38 by 4.54 thus turning it into gallons & then dividing the 302 by that result.

I was quite surprised, but also happy too.

Well 36.08 mpg, (to 2 dp) but still good lol

Bear in mind it is early, I was reading this thinking yeah 37mpg that's about same as mine then I woke up:eek: more like 27

judging by everyone's response, what I achieved is way above what others get :nenau

What do you guys get?

Well I don't understand!!!!!!! Unless it had a slight airlock on the second fill :nenau

I drove up to Sheffield & back yesterday, the gauge didn't drop really quick.
It was definitely 38 litres that went in.
I do accelerate quite steady, not going over 2000 rpm & 1500 rpm on the flat etc.

I can't see an extra 10 miles coming from just that though :nenau

I will be taking another reading in a while when I fill her again :thumb2

Got 29.something on a trip to pontefract the other week. And that wasn't hanging about either. Well coming home was because I had no rear brakes :thumb2

You are much better taking an average over several tank fills as irregularities tend to creep in, I have done like you on one refill and had good figures but the next one has been poor, I can only assume air in tank, vehicle not absolutely level, short measure from pump, over measure from pump etc, if I am really interested now, I fill it up right to the neck (but only if I am going to do 50 miles or more immediately) and zero the trip, then I will do 3 or 4 fill ups not necessarily to the brim and when I am ready to check the MPG make the last fill to the neck as was the first one, read the trip, add all the fill ups after zeroing the trip and do the calc, I get around 24 but am running 31s so trip will be reading less than I actually cover, Banshee running 33s will be recording even less, Rick

I would have done pal. Don't know where you live though but :nenau

Might be venturing north again with the caravan in August. Haven't decided yet.
It'll be a lot less than 30mpg then

Good ol ponte-carlo, it's the home of haribo don't you know :lol

Yeh a lot less with that beast you tow, it's huge

If you're ever oop north again and need owt, help or anything jus drop me a line bud :thumb2
