You're probably wondering why I'm bringing this back up after it being fitted to my truck for so many years already but hear me out......

I want a dual battery setup, so to make space for the battery, I have obtained an "inwing" screen wash reservoir that I'll be relocating to the other side of the engine bay.

I've had a search on the forum and apart from my own and Elty's and a few others, I can't really find any write up's with pics etc.

I'd ideally like to get rid of the OEM air filter housing and fabricate something a little smaller with an inline filter etc?

Does anyone have any ideas or even better links to pictures?

My snorkel hasn't been fully water tight for some time by the looks of it after the last test I did on it :doh

Help me out boys :bow

How much is the ABS stuff in the way? Tight fit but coming through there help?

Or keep the original filter housing but modify it so you can use a cone style filter inside, Then have the cold air coming in from the end rather than side? Could even shorted the original housing if the cone was shorter. if you understand me.

First thing you need is the shorter snorkel that only goes halfway down the wing, that will make things easier to plumb in further back :thumb2

Or leave the snorkel and air box as is and fit the battery on the drivers side like i did.
Plenty of room once you move the expansion tank, power steering reservoir and a few wiring plugs.
Is there not room to fit one in the back with yours being a commercial :nenau

Nah I like this snorkel and I've already chopped the wing as such.

Food for thought, thanks for the suggestions gents, I'll have another rethink. I don't like the idea of having a battery inside the truck for the age old argument about gases being given off and whether a battery would need to be vented or not etc :nenau
