Not moaning mate, glad you all enjoyed
By the way, I use mine for work every day, and the school run when I'm home, and for launching the boat, and for shopping and walking the dog(not the same time), and every now and then going offroading, which is the most fun though

i dont think anyone is moaning. we was going even with no mud. just to be part of it. we only didnt go because i was told you was all going elsewhere for the day.

i dont know it was a bit like inviting people to visit then say your going out ... dont bother

unless of course it was a polite way of saying they would prefer me not to go:nenau

we have meets in wales . but we dont bugger off to scotland when we have organised it for wales.

so far i have said nothing about the national, even when it was said your all going to the jeep jam for the day. i just left it

but to then complain cos few turned up. i think its fair to point out our reason for giving it a miss

and you all said you was not going to be there....

its not normal practice to drive half way accross the country to visit friends if you know they are out

No laning or of roading was sorted due to lack of interest only 6 members in total
There are 2 things so far going on over the weekend Air Show and Japnjeep as well as members just staying at the campsite.....

As it was most members were on site till 11.30 and we were all back at the site by 4.30 Saturday and we were there all day Sunday

And like going to see family if you don't give them enough notice and tell them your coming yes they may well be OUT:nenau

All I can say if you cant commit Don't BUT Please Don't Moan if plans are made with out You In mind.

We need to do it over a long weekend for the lake District, two days is just not worth the travel cost

The members of this 'club' (I use brackets deliberately because it isn't a club in the usual sense, its a community) have a wide range of interests, ranging from camping, offroading, caravanning and touring through to extreme modification. Personally I only joined for ONE reason - to keep my T2 on the road as cheaply as possible...I suspect many others do to.

So when someone wants to arrange a national event (or anything else for that matter) I'm not interested. Its no big deal and shouldn't cause offence. If half a dozen people want to organise something, fine just do it. If you don't like the turnout then don't do it.

If you want to join an organisation that has regular meets etc.. then I'm sure there are places that cater for that.

In Wales, despite our small numbers (TW has only three core members, four if you count the Honorary Welshman, Adz!), we have a regular off-road meeting. We don't always all make it, but I haven't had my windows broken yet as a result......and do we complain because nobody else comes? Err no.

So my advice is, take whatever you want from this community, but don't keep making aggro posts slagging off other people just because they don't want to join in whatever it is that you do for fun.

AND STAY HAPPY FOR GOD'S SAKE.....THERES ENOUGH GRIEF IN THE WORLD AS IT IS!! :doh

:thumbs Will need to find out what school hols are next year. Unfortunately I get told when my holidays are by the fire service although if I now asap to January I can usually swap with someone else.

I don't have a problem taking kidz out of school. As they close the school when they want for snow.

Could a pole be put together to vote on area's of the country and then dates?

To early at the moment I Know. However it does look like JnJ will be is weekend of July.

Lets not forget that if you add together the poor fuel economy of these trucks and the fact that many people are trying to run them on a shoestring, a central national rally of any sort, whatever the content, would probably be a no-no for many folks who might otherwise want to attend, who might also understandably be too proud to admit they haven't necessarily got the beans.

Regional events are probably better from that perspective, leaving people free to travel to them from wherever they wish and are able?

And I'm sure this invite stands elsewhere in other areas - people are always welcome to come to Wales for one of our green-laning events and ride shotgun with one of us, theres no need to put your truck at risk if you don't want to.....despite popular myth, we are actually well behaved, and you don't have to ride with Makeitfit if you don't want to! Besides, once you've been, you might realise what your truck can do - you might be surprised!

i was looking at the meet zippy was arranging, but that was put on hold, cant remember why now, but to be honest my situation makes it very hard for me to turn up anywhere at present, due to the wifes condition,:doh

Agree with last post this club has no direction now just pay your£10 then download fixes and go.Keep on with rally might have to change name as a meet.

As already said, most people originally joined this club to keep their trucks on the road:thumb2 this has been a great success

The meets started because members wanted to meet other members:clap

Things have now moved on and the club has changed, for better or worse in individuals eyes, each to their own:nenau

So lets put this to bed and get on with it and the mud pluggers and modders do there thing and the social side do there's:clap

The National Rally is now a dead duck, so lets stop flogging it.:doh no one will arrange another.

People will move elsewhere to meet there own interests and this has already happened.
Three new clubs have emerged out of this one, which is a shame as this one could have covered it all.

Clicks, bitching and back stabbing in my view is not the way to go , as to letting to club run its self, I don't think so, rat shit is what always follows. We're all children at heart and always revert to acting like children given the chance.

anyway my vote is on a few rallies next yeat. that way more people will go, even if its to the one nearest them

could do one in easter
one in the summer holiday
and one on a bank holiday weekend

id suggest one north ,one south (new forrest maybe) and one in wales
