turned into carpark yesterday with right lock on doing 15 mph.
load "graunching noise" issues from both front sides as I went over curb!
wife horrified... hates noises from front end since nearside front hub came off last year on motorway at speed!!
Ive sorted anti roll bar drop links 6 months ago so Im hoping its steering stops slaming into each other what you think guys?

terrano 3.0 diesel SVE long wheelbase 2003

Wouldnt that only come from the side where CV joint was bust....not both sides as each went up the curb?
(unless both CVs are bust!..god forbid)
Just greased stearing stops as suggested and driven it up curb a few times and it appears to be OK no metal on metal sounds wife will be releived
Thanks guys

never greased mine, but when on full lock just back off a little so stops the stops being rubbed, simple, Rick

I brought a pack of 10 dome plastic caps M12 in size and slapped those on both sides in front of and behind the wheel and slapped a load of grease on there and they have been fine for ages now

Surely they will restrict your maximum lock, the dome extends about 5mm beyond the hex head of the stop!

my off road motor and the wife's Mk 2 have stainless steel ones , guess they are original equipment as both are identical, Rick
