Well guys, I’ve gone and done it and signed up and bought a VW Transporter ready to convert to a camper as a long term project.

Good motors VW

Looks a tidy motor my daughter had one for about 8 years already adapted with tail lift & wheelchair ramps - an ex local authority vehicle. She loved it but sadly age became an issue as reliability was paramount.

I talked her out of a Mercedes Viano as they can be a money pit when used - they are cheap when used for good reason.

She now has some sort of Berlingo - she hates it describing it as a functional tin can by comparison!

Nice Jim. We'll have a lift and AT tyres on it asap :augie:D

Looks tidy.
My brother is into his VW's and he has recently bought a T5.
Not my cup of tea but each to their own.
At least it's not a j**p:lol:thumbs

Nice looking van Jim, I’m thinking of doing something similar but looking at a transit 4x4 2014 on with a high roof.

Always wanted a transit county 4x4 to do just that. Ideally would be a mk3 lwb with twin rear wheels. Monster van.

Looking forward to it and after my health issues this year we have decided to live for today.
Anyhoo we will still have the project truck.

Very nice Jim, I really like my old T4......but I rolled it, and decided I needed 4x4 again....

Well I just picked mine up and sadly had to say goodbye to my 3 litre.

I love the van I have to say and a much nicer drive too.

Can’t wait to convert it :thumbs
