I'll leave that with him lol. He competes in SQ and builds both that and bass cars. I'll get all the gear ordered up next week and get it to him so he can do his thing :thumb2

Fitted a new aerial and base tonight, although it's not powered like the original.
The old one was naff and only about a couple of inches long. All the base was broke inside too so couldn't pick up stations.

New vs old

Why someone would fit something like this and expect to get reception I'll never know!

Comparison :lol

I did manage to break the interior boot light whilst doing it so if anyone has a spare they'd like to donate.......:)

:thumb2 Just refitted the Son's system as he is now keeping his car:augie back seat has been replaced with 3x 12" subs but a new build will be starting so he has 4x 12" sub:naughty

I've got the same aerial that you have just replaced & TBH never had any probs picking up radio stations at all:thumbs

If money and space wasn't an object I'd love to build a bass car/truck :D
I did toy with a single sundown 12 but with the boot being tiny and needing the space for carting all the horse stuff I've had to settle with 2 jbl 8's as they don't need a massive box. Hopefully it'll give me that bit of bass fix I need :thumb2

The whole aerial base was knackered tbh, the little whip wasn't even screwed in just sealant haha. It's better but I need to solder it as the ends were different on the original and the new one

It's purple ;)

purple is the new black,:lol
nice looking truck and horse trailer:thumb2
im in the middle of restoring a 1969 rice farmers hunt horse trailer for the mrs.
chassis and axles/brakes are done just the body and a new floor to tackle.

nice truck, shame about the speaker ideas, not 17 are ye :augie:lol

thought you'd need a corsa for '' boom box's '' :lol

better with the mud on. would have thought a lwb for the horses tack etc, especially with the boom box mods

You don't have to be 17 to enjoy music being played well:doh subs reproduce the lower frequencies normal speakers can't which gives more depth to the music your playing:augie TBH Nissan has to be one of the worst car manufacturers when it comes to stereo equipment:doh Ford use Sony gear, Peugeot & Land Rover use Harman (JBL/Infinity) gear:thumb2

Oh it's got mud on but I also appreciate my music and the standard system is naff.
The idea was the wife would drive it but she didn't want a Lwb doesn't like them, to big etc.

We've not attended any shows yet tbh only the sports endurance hacks and events and there's plenty of room for his tack.
The box will only be 7" or so gigh so I've not lost a vast amount of boot space either :D:thumb2

And the daughter rides him.

OOOhhhh very nice, I am waiting by the window for my delivery of Vibe 6x9's today! like a kid at christmas lol

Haha, still waiting on the 5.25" rear jbl's and an alpine amp :D

Very nice & with the fronts being components you'll be able to replace the factory tweeters at the same time:thumb2

The 5.25" jbl's for the rears are components too, hoping they turn up tomorrow with my amp :D

All the stereo stuff is here :D

Not bad for 8's.

Take it to the installers Sunday to have the box made and the speaker baffles :thumb2

Fitted my omp wheel last night.

Few issues mind.....
Horn sounds constantly, had to pull the relay.
Not sure on which wires are the airbag so I can fit the resistor.

Ran out of light so couldn't see much so I'll have to have a proper look at the weekend unless anyone has got any tips?
