Nice to see there has been mesh added to protect the subs as you said you'll often fill the boot

I didn't realise he was doing it :D
I thought it was going to be a solid board.

Off over to his unit Sunday to get it all fitted :thumb2

The mesh will help objects flying & hitting the speaker cones:thumb2 TBH I would have done round speaker grills instead of the square shaped ones but that's me:augie Bet you can't wait to get it all installed:thumb2 just go easy on the bass for a few weeks as it takes a bit for subs to break in & loosen up

Still the rears to do but progress has been made and it sounds pretty good tbh :thumb2

Amp & speakers mounted up.

Meshed cover all carpeted and fitted over the box

6.5" front components fitted

Not updated in a while,
Couldn't get the horn push to work (wiring not compatable with the boss) so I fitted a dash mounted button.

Went laning which it struggled with I assume because it's standard on crap tyres. Bent the A bar so removed that. Also snapped the exhaust which has given me an excuse to do s atraight thru side exit.

Still a few bits to do.
Move tweeters to a pillars in custom pods
Steering idler
Track rods & middle bar
Fit 2" lift spacers when they arrive
Adjust torsion bars
Service duffs as the the rears making a few groans.
Fit some decent tyres as the at2's are crap offroad.

Secondly, where do you get your material from that you covered your sub box with?

I'm after some black stuff that's quite plyable as I plan on covering the top half of my interior plastics in the rear of the car as for some reason Nissan decided to do the bottom in black and the top in cream :doh

Cheers dude.

As long as it's clearly marked then it's OK on the dash as far as I'm aware.
The carpet was done by the install guy, just normal acoustic carpet. More than likely available on ebay etc. If your prepared to take the plastics out and ship I have a mate that does flocking. He's done some interior bits on my vrs and it's pretty cool and looks better than carpet imo.

My old gauge pod in black flock

Only down side with flocking is it attracts dust like mad & isn't hard wearing at all:(

Seems to be holding up ok, just clean it as normal with hoover and your good to go :thumb2

Few more bits done/sorted.
Straight through pipe due to snapping it on a laning trip

Voltmeter arrived and will be mounted in the A pillar tweeter builds.

Led dash bulbs arrived

Took the egr off to blank it but after skinned hands and plenty of swearing discovered it had already been done!

Put it to work

Don't forget those LED dash bulbs will be polarised, as in pos and neg. Will fit both ways around but only actually work one way around.
