around 1.5 mm is fine, if you really cannot see your way through this, then I could be interested in purchasing for an off roader, be better than scrap price, Rick

To make anywhere near what it owes me I'd be better off breaking I think tbh.
Wheels and tyres where 600, exhaust was 250 a few months ago and I paid 900 for the truck a nearly year ago.
What would it be worth as it stands?

I picked up a 97 plate terrano for 300 quid, with no where near as much welding needed. Front cross member and sills is all that needed doing.

My two road going motors both cost around £400 and both still going strong, I may offer £300 for something like yours and turn it into an off roader, Rick

Yeah thought as much and is one of the reasons why I'm leaning towards keeping it.
I think at 300 it'd have no exhaust or wheels as they'd make decent money 2nd hand.

I'll make a start on it soon and if I do give up on it I've not lost anything

Whens your MOT due? If it's quite a long MOT then do the jobs a bit at a time starting with the most structural, stuff like wings can be sorted later.

would not want the wheels and tyres, no good where I go, and exhaust is a no no as well, I can weld up any old stuff for pay and play, not saying you should go that route though, keep at it if you put the time in and do a good job it will last, I just looked up my mot on mine, due near end of the month, might find time to stick it on the hoist for a gander, but do not think I will have any problems, I did a lot of welding when I got it all on a thread on here, Rick

Got a lad coming to quote me on the job lot, if it doesn't work out to much more than me buying a welder and all the gear than he can have the hassle.

£400 all in Inc the box section sliders so I think it's gonna be repaired. Then just need to source the wings as they are to far gone to mod them.

Well done, keep at it, wings, I will have a look round, know I have one with only a very small amount of rust, not sure if I have another, Rick

That sounds like a good price, whats he repairing for that? It's good without the sliders.

He's doing the whole truck or whatever he finds plus the sliders.

Fibreglass wings are ordered

Idiot never showed up! Twice!

Time to tackle it myself.

not too bad at all, wait till I show you mine when I get the front off, or indeed look at an older thread of mine doing the Mrs motor a couple of years ago or so, much worse than that, Rick

Not bad at all, compared to some I've seen that's a lottery win :thumb2

I'm hoping my fibreglass wings are here this week, gonna order a snorkel while it's in bits. got a mate making me some box section sliders up now so then the cutting and welding can begin once I sort a welder out :thumb2

Good luck SNH and you always got the skoda to fall back on for running around but the horse may be staying at home for a while tho. You can do, if Me and my son can Im sure you will.

Bit more done ready for welding next weekend hopefully.

Chassis holds some serious crap so no wonder they rot!

More work than it originally looked like, think I would have decided to repair however a lot of different bits to tackle, will certainly be a bit challenging in places if your not a frequent welder. Getting in with a grinder could be awkward.
