you enjoy your self, we can wait for the next episode but not too long mind, Rick

I've just finished watching "Into The Wild" with the GF, such a moving film about a young guy who falls out with his parents and lives wild in Alaska, I wont ruin the film but it's def worth a watch

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0758758/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

I'll certainly be giving this a read from the start to the end when I get a few mins spare :D

Hi all I'm back from a challenging week or so in Porthmadoc with my brother in the caravan, as i am disabled now from the Motor Neurone Disease, so my mobility scooter had it's work cut out going up forestry trails and the like, nearly tipped it over but the castors on the back stopped it,we did about 10mls round trip which was amazing for such a little machine,i need to get an "all terrain" mob scooter next and fancy going all around Anglesey on a sponsored scoot for the MND Society sometime soon.
Anyhow some more of Bob's papers.

Back on form or forum

Hi all,at last I'm back,my MND triggered some alarming changes to my body,so I have had to adapt a few things and I'm currently in a Hospice for respite not leaving this earth just yet and home next week to carry on with Uncle Bob story,so apologies for sudden departure from this forum, but as title suggests back on track.

Hi Rustygates, sorry to hear your illness has got worse:( I've just read through it all & what a fantastic read & you should make this into a book:thumbs My brother has not long came back from Canada visiting some of our family & said once you get away from the towns & cities it's such a stunning place & is saving up to go back & to go further north this time

Oh bad luck mate, really feel for you, my wife and I fostered special needs kids for 24 years so have a better idea than most on the problems you face, all I can say is your thread is fantastic and you did the journey, so a big plus under your belt, keep up the good work and look forward to the next post, and as said by another you could produce a book from this, Rick

I'd buy the book :thumb2 Hope you start to feel a bit better Rustygates.

Bob's interview 1962

This interview was recorded in 1967 and transcribed by me over the past 3 months, only problem is that it is 179kb and only 19kb allowed here,is there any way i can maybe put it on here a few pages at a time.

All the best,

Ian

Just click on the link above.

In the Interview Bob mentions "The Blue Parka Man" and "Soapy Smith", both were notorious gangsters of their time,The Blue Parka Man was seen as some Robin Hood character by many, and escaped from jail many times and Soapy Smith was again seen as a loveable conman.

Google both of these people for more info.

Downloaded, and read first page, I will settle down to this when more time, as want to digest it properly, very best regards to you, have you kept up with the threads on an off road wheel chair and the offer from Briggie? also they are available to hire by the week between £50 and £90 a week, so depends how many weeks needed, but I would buy you a week no problem, Rick
