my awesome battery tray to a bigger battery, also changed the battery wires and terminals as the old battery tray wouldn't take bigger new battery :clap

just a quick observation ryan ...... the clamp holding the battery down looks a bit too close to the positive terminal of the battery for my liking :eek: ..... just an observation

I looked at that pictures, and realised you have just doubled the weight of the car, what with that huge battery, and the aluminium plate... It won't get up any hills now..

It's fine, box of rice crispys in the driver's foot well evens things out :thumb2
 
Think I'm going to get a cardigan, change my name to Gladys and drive at 38MPH everywhere like the usual atoz driver, get the heaters on, discuss rationing during the war with my grandson and have BBC radio 4 playing.
 
Ryan, I think I can get hold of a zimmer frame for you mate, It may need a bit of work though....another project :):)

securing it wasn't really the issue ryan ...presumably that clamp is connected to the vehicles body ( earth ) , and you have the positive terminal very very close to it , given the wrong conditions it could arc ...... just a warning

Yeah, I know it looks not so good, I'll get a picture of the terminals close up, show you dietails better, I originally wanted the bar to go sideways between the terminals, but it wouldn't clear at the wing side.

just make sure you carry a fire extinguisher and you should be ok ...... providing you can run fast :augie
