recently i went to cunbria to look at a twincab hilux with a friend. i realy didnt want to take my maverick over 65mph on a 2.5 hours trip each way. just wondered what speeds yoy drove your terrano/mavericks at on the motorway over distance.

cheers larson

i sit at 65 to 70..

just let every thing else past me... caravans cars the lot..

i would travel around 70 to 80 mph from enniskillen to belfast and back again a few times a week, is there a reason not to go over 65mph?.

mine has got 169,800 miles on it now and i just dont want to give it too much stick unless theres a 2cv at the trafic lights:lol

accelerator is in the on position all the way when on motorways

whatever the distance.... is there a max you can do then?

mine is 160k and no problems

Depoends what tyres I've got on, with the muds I sit at about 63 cos they shake less at that speed due to being out of balance, but with other tyres I'll do a strict 70 obviously officer - not.

thos eare true figure btw fro stanav - though my speedo is less than 1mph out at 70 anyway due to bigger tyres.

no max but mines petrol not a tdi and i recon its a we bit ratley when its given plenty.. just trying to make it last while i save for something else

find the troll, and the t2 before happiest around 66 which is nearer a real 60 with
or without the tin tent. which means only cars and a few white vans get past us.

also helps keep over 4 ton of car and caravan returning over 22mpg.

further on the at2s on t2 got noticeably louder over this speed, the h/t's less so on
troll but hey which thrash it, built for range not speed.

Drive it like you stole it you big girl:lol

motorway speeds

I sit between 70 and 90, 5 people in the motor generally (mrsp & 3 teenage boys)

70 mph get a wheel wobble, slower i get bored so faster than 70 it is then to stop the wheel wobble.

paulp

mine has around 190000 on the clock and it still sits at 75mph all day, have to reduce speed obviously when i am towing mr officer sir:sly
