After the winter we have had this year I dont want just better tyres.
I need more ground clearance.
Ive had a chat with me mate about body lifts.
And I understand it involes seprerating the chassis from the cab and inserting spacers.
but if a lift kit costs 100 notes, what are the other expences apart from labour.
what other work is involved.would I need a new longerer steering rack etc?
I can live with my truck off the road a bit while the work is done but I need to know the overall cost.
Id also like to lift the suspension.
what do I need.
Ill buy it my mate can fit it lol.
I know what i want for my truck i wish i was a mechanic.
luck my mate is one.

65 from xpajun body lift but you need biggrr tyres n wheels fot ground clearance

As above but TYRES are the only thing that'll get you more ground clearance.
How much more clearance do you want as that will dictate tyre size and then suspension and or body lift.
By the way , body lift should only take a few hours or so, IF the bolts come out ok.:thumbs

depends on how big your going to go with tyres, sometimes it's better to keep the suspension stock so you still have some down drop. In my opinion anyway.

Longer shocks on rear will allow u same or even more droop, and 2" still leaves plenty in front

Getting your front cross member out the muck to the best height possible is paramount and has given me massively improved clearance in deep ruts and mud

basicaly I want to fit 31 cooper stts. but dont want them to look stupid or rub anywhere.
so before i went out and spent a small fortune I wanted everything else sorted first.
Ive had a brief look for bigger shocks but not sure what i need.
I dont want to go stick big wheels on then run into lots of problems.
I read I may need to beef up the steering?
I do want to do a body lift and suspension lift and am unsure of what to do first.
I have a great deal of respect for my mechanic friend but he is adamant 31s wont fit the terrano (hes a landy freak)
im hoping to have about 1500 notes to spend on the truck in a few weeks and am shopping around.
cooper stts will be the biggest outlay.
steve
after the work is done i will probably need a ladder to get my ladders of the roof lol.
steve

Mine has 31s only got 2 inch suspension lift and mud flaps removed steerings fine
33s need to go down the route of a body lift

Tell him from another landy freak that maybe he needs to expand his knowledge :thumbs :lol

31s will fit, Maybe it's worth showing him a pic of makeitfit's maverick on 35s :naughty

I ran 31s and after light/medium laning for a few months the steering went very vague so I think it's worth upgrading the steering in the near future or when cash allows.

yep 31's fit fine, i run 33's on mine and have had the steering uprated so its stronger

http://www.llama4x4.com/

I have the roughcountry n20 +3" on rear, they are firm but not harsh whatsoever, rides like a Bentley

U will need to do the simple dislocation cone lift in link above tho to run +3 shocks

I want my truck like yours.
ive just viseted that website and it shows the nivara bein converted.
I cant see the +3 n20 on there.
but ive put it on my list and will call them when ive got my cash in my hand.
Ive deffo decided the coopers are going on.
steve

Just give Dave at llama a ring, he'll waffle a lot lol, but he's sound, tell him u want the +3" rear n2.0

Also get stock length front shocks if u want those as well, he'll try sell u +2 fronts but they make no difference on our truck, only stock length shocks on front ;)
