The NCD Con.............
I found this out yesterday. If you have NCD @ maximum, lets say 65%. you think that if you make a claim then nothing should change. WRONG! you will still keep your NCD @ 65% but you move up from low risk to high risk.
So if you paid £350 for your insurance then your premium would of been £1,000 with out your discount of 65%, This would be LOW RISK
But when you go up to high risk, your premium could be as high as £3,000. you still get your 65% discount but now end up paying £1,050 for cover.
Its the wording thats the CON.
Same problem here mate, my boy 17 just before crimbo:dohTalking about insurance my boy just turned 17 my old man gave him a1.1 saxo and the quotes are stupid any whare from £2500 up to £13000 how are these boys supposed to get on the road but if i change his status to miss instead of mr it is halfed if it was the other way round we would be having marches and sex discrimination claims all over lol:doh:doh:doh
Yeeeees :augie we tried that but boy was not impressed when the quote went up :lolWell I don't know why but apparently it helps if you add the odd parent as a named driver (as opposed to fronting) - can bring the premium down a fair bit.
Mind you, although Pete certainly qualifies as an odd parent lol) his driving licence is a bit tattered LOL
Yeeeees :augie we tried that but boy was not impressed when the quote went up :lol
