well on my search i have come across an insurance comapny that will only insure moded 4x4's but not imports

seems to be coming in cheap i mean really cheap like £94 for the year

adrian flux qouted £350 and these qouted £175 for a modded land rover

£94 is seriously too cheap for ANY car mate, I don't believe it. Its probably 50 miles a year or Sundays only LMAO:thumbs

could it be for off road cover only???:nenau:thumbs

paul, i pay £70 a year for my cortina, lol

I've just sent them my details for a quote:lol
They seem quite picky on endorsements and mileage:augie
We'll see shortly I guess:thumbs

Pickles are good... but that sounds too cheap even for them!
I also expect that if its a modded vehicle policy, it may be similar to rally car cover... your only covered to drive to and from events or for very limited mileage.
I'd check it out in great detail, ensure you have full road cover and read all of the small print very very carefully! After that if it still appears good, snap their hands off!

It does seem far too cheap for a 7 seater...

quite possibly Tel but even then, can you imagine all those expensive mods covered for so little?? not convinced

Well they wouldnt be would they...

The car will still be classed as being market value, if not lowered value because of mods & off-road use...

Way I see it, slightest claim for the smallest scratch - INSTANT WRITE OFF :augie

Well they wouldn't even give me a quote:doh
All I wanted was a decent anual mileage and be able to go to work in it:eek:
So I'll stay with the Flux miesters:thumbs

I suspected limited use... so they wouldnt allow it as a daily driver for you?

Nope:eek:
Quick response though:augie
Adrian flux cover me for work and 12000 miles and offroad proper, not just green lanes.
Like for like replacement:naughty
Replacement truck of similar spec if mine's broken :lol
Easy to add extra mods:cool:

yeah but you're 137 years old mate......:augie

i thought you were older than me paul ,:lol, it's on classic and limited miles, oh and free tax, love it, one up on the government for a change. :thumbs

did you claim pete when you bent the old girl??? :nenau

I was a bit slow on that one till I realised I was actually covered for offroad use:sly
So I had a little man round to have a look:rolleyes:
He got out of his car and wrote it off in 5mins:lol
Got 1250 for it and bought it back for 250 :naughty
Job done:thumbs

I did that once with the mrs's Corsa GSI :thumb2

The other party's insurer wrote it off because it needed a front bumper... quite rare for the GSI. There was no way I was letting it go to the scrappy just for that!
Think they call it "cash in lieu of repairs"

Yeh but not much, PNCB :sly
Adrian Flux all in everything declared 340 quid ish :D
