I may have posted this before in the wrong section.
Hopefully this is where it should be.

Hi everybody. My first real question.
I have a mistral. N reg. 2.7TD. Been a really great little workhorse.
I have had to change a lower front ball joint.
Both sides on mine have the actual ball joint secured by 4x17mm nuts/bolts on the top of the lower wishbone but on a recent diagram/picture it looks like the joint is underneath the lower wishbone.
I have not had any issues (Tyre ware, Vibration etc). Nothing touches the drive shaft or anything else and it has passed the mot test every year.
Should it be on top or under?

Thanks
Bob.

Hi Bob, I've just been and had a quick look under both my trucks and they appear to be mounted to the bottom side of the lower suspension arm but a bit dark under there and it is raining too so a bit difficult to see properly.

Don't forget to order the bolts as well if you replace the ball joint again - they will invariably shear off while trying to remove them.

Makes sense as well to do both top and bottom at the same time.

Bottom ones will love forever, 17mm Bolt tops with 14mm nuts underneath the wishbone.

It's only the upper ball joint bolts that shear
