Hiya

I have been spending the last hour trying to find the air intaike assembly in the Nissan service guide so I can track down the correct bolt to replace.

Not having much luck!

I really dont want to go down to Nissan and have them trawl thorugh their database.. is there an easier way to find out the bolt id number so i can track down a spare?

The bolt in question is one of three which hold the air intake manifold to the chassis - from there I suspect there is a connection under the left wing to the snorkel....

Any tips welcome

EDIT: Took some photo's

hi , i tryed to find the online manual, but the links not working. any one know where its gone ??

bolt

Ive adapted my airbox fittings due to the fact I have to remove the airbox to change a headlight bulb.
Cant you just replace the bolt with one you may already have in shed/garage ?
Nissan charged me £6 for a tiny rubber 0 ring last year so a steel bolt may be going on for £10 ish.

hi slug

get on down have go some st/steel ones here should fit
we can seal up that inlet to with some heat resistant silicon sealant
(only in white) thats where you air will be leaking in

hi guys

thakns for those replies. I too have been fleeced by Nissan in the past, and for the most part they are clueless.

If there is an online manual (different to the nissan electronic one) I am all ears!!

Hi slug
What size spanner fits the existing bolt?
10mm= 6mm(bolt)
13mm=8mm(bolt)
17mm=10mm(bolt)
Any bolt that fits would do, if its not comming into contact with anything agressive.

Hi ya

Bolt will fix into the inner wing duct that goes horizontal under the inner wing, get at it entering from wheel arch meeting up with the out side riser pipe.
should just bolt in as nut inserted into the plastic duct

P.s my electronic manual contains 4.8 petrol service data

Thanks Davemud

Don't suppose you have the NIssan FAST software? and if u do... does it contain the 4.8 parts?
