Afternoon all,
I've a small conundrum, not my LWB nissan T2 which is running very well, but a colleagues Ford Maverick R reg 2.7TD SWB.
Essentially when the key is turned in the ignition, the MIL light flashes slowly, on following the toolbox PDF, I short out the two pins described and get a slow but continuous flash, so I can't see any form of fault code. When I try to clear the MIL faults down, the same slow flash happens, if I repeat te process, the MIL returns to flashing quickly, no long or sort flashes are observed in either state.
The immediate history of the car is that it sometimes stopped when on tickover, ie at lights etc, I changed the fuel filter and this did not clear the problem, this was ongoing until yesterday when the car would not start. My mate called out the RAC who were frankly not much cop.............
So today, I've tried to clear down and read fault codes, failed on both counts, taken the fuel pipe inlet off the pump to remove the banjo........ the thimble filter is not present........... I noticed that the priming pump on top of the filter is rock hard........
Any thoughts please...... very welcome .......
Regards
Dave
