Metal/ceramic glow plugs?

Which are best? What are the pros/cons of each?

metal ones do not usually break up, but think the ceramic ones can, and who wants ceramic bits in the combustion chamber, but I could be wrong, I do have memory issues, Rick

Thanks Rick for the down to earth advice - a blinding glimpse of the bloody obvious - ceramic bits in the chamber - no thanks! I think I'll go for metal ones.
