Maverick Power Window Amplifier

Hi,

My mk1 Maverick power window (front drivers side) has stopped working. The garage I use tried replacing the switch but that didn't cure the problem. They have told me that the Nissan part required is an amplifier :? which will cost £160 8O

Can anyone point me in the direction of a cheaper source for this part?

He noted down the numbers on the casing:

28515 - OF420

ET80 - 035 12V

Check ebay for breaking Mav's and Terrano's.

You could also checkout http://www.partsgateway.co.uk/ I've used these people and they were great.

Is this part actually called an amplifier? I can only find reference to a regulator on ebay?

Right, I've done a bit more research and the part is actually a relay.

Just got to track one down now........

have you tried breakeryard.com or equicar.com also have you tried googling it under breaker yard or cardismantlers you may have a pleasent surprise I have found no end of breakers on google. Today I have even found some one to buy my old engine out of my Terrano and give me £100.00 for it :smile:

ELECTRIC WINDOW

HI ALL JUST A GENERAL NOTE ON THESE WINDOWS.
MY DRIVERS WINDOW SHUTS OK EVERY TIME , BUT I HAVE TROUBLE GETTING IT TO GO DOWN SOMETIMES.
ALL I DO NOW IS HOLD SWITCH IN THE DOWN POSSISION AND KNOCK ON THE GLASS OR DOOR CARD AT SAME TIME, AND DOWN IT GOES EVERY TIME.
THERE IS A CHANGE OVER RELAY AT END OF CABLE THAT ATTACHES TO WINDOW AT ONE END AND RELAY AT OTHER WHICH STICKS SO A SHARP TAP RESETS IT.
WORKS FOR ME .

The wire in my drivers mech has come out of position and a plastic device seems to have broken but I havent a clue where to start looking. Just thought as I'm writing this....................take a look at the pasenger side, Doh! :roll:
