Mav with NATS but no remote CL ?

Hi all,

My new Mav has what appears to be the NATS flashing LED on the driver's side front windscreen vent that comes on when I lock the car using the key.

I don't have a remote central locking 'plipper', just a pair of FORD keys with transponders in.

Does the presence of NATS mean that I will probably also have remote CL, but just need to buy the remote and then code it as per the 'how to' ?

Or can you have NATS and no remote locking ?
What do I need to look for (and where) to check I have RCL ?

If you have central locking you should be able to operate it via the door lock with Manuel key (lock/unlock).

Apart from that i cant really help but to say get wiring diagram out and start taking off a few panels to see if wiring/actuators are there,
could the light be false, just a light?

The key operates the central locking fine... I am just wondering if I am missing the plippers.

I have bought one on ebay for £1.50 if it doesn't work it can go back on ebay for £5 :lol

AT that price you cant go wrong, just try coding in and see what happens

mav and nissan square light versions use a different remote control from the round lights of 97 onwards, so as far as i'm aware they will not program the same as it only has one button which in the workshop pdf on this site is using a 2 button control.

Not 100% sure but my Terrano T2 1997 has the NATS light and has Central Locking but I've never been able to locate the remote box unit.

Think it's meant to be under the Steering Column but I can't find one so I presume although I have Central Locking I don't have the function to use a remote on it.

Yours may very well be the same.
