Just picked up 1994 maverick 2.4 petrol been stood a while but looks like its in pretty good condition.Problem is that it wont rev much above 2000 rpm.Has second hand throttle body in boot.Have cleaned the maf and also tried the maf from the other throttle body but still the same.
Anyone got any ideas:bow

fuel starvation ? check fuel filter .......check air filter too ..... best to check simple things first , its not a fly by wire so not too complicated :thumb2.....all spark plugs ok ? ....... things like that mate

did you sort ur problem out as i am having similar problems

No not yet got another throttle body of ebay with maf but still exactly the same.Lots of info on this engine on google everyone recons its the maf but have tried 3 now so unlikely but will check with mulimeter this weekend

Has the petrol pump got a mini filter or is it electric & or in the tank :nenau

Havent looked at a petrol 1 yet

Memory has failed, no not the 2.4 but mine, I have a 2.4 and think I saw somewhere that this is limp home mode, so check the fault codes, that should tell you, Rick
