Update:: Garage changed the fuel filter today and also a connecting hose that was looking challanged at both ends (enough to probably let air in). Car was perkier afterwards. Went home without issues. Added 10 litres of fuel as running low, and ran it up an inclined track with purpose - and low and behold the car stalled and Code 47 is back. :(

Not sure what can be done now.......

I do not know why they are faffing with fuel lines and filters, CPS is the problem and that is all, "if" they have changed the sensor, then it must be a loom problem, if it was mine I would simply run a new 3 core screened cable from the sensor to the ECU, if this did not sort it then it is either a bad sensor or a bad ECU, Rick

Thinking about the incline issues, other mechanical problems could just be factors, but first is it a Bosch or a Zexel? have a look at the MAF this will tell you, Rick

SOLARMANS comment on screened wire replacement is very valid

have a look at the connection plug

3 wires
right side of engine (facing forwards) towards bulkhead

mine went ( 350 mile recovery !! )

could be wire break/ poor signal due to heat / age

easy fix

TOSKA

Sounds like yours is a Bosch located on the bell housing, the Zexel is mounted on the timing cover at the front, Rick
