Another sluggish Terrano

Well I've been on this problem on and off for a while, thankfully no real money has been spent as of yet.
i) I've checked voltage outputs of the bosch MAF with a multimeter, the readings are within the tolerance given by the workshop manual
ii) We had a 'diagnostic expert' plug in the ecu, he told my girlfriend all seemed fine, I'd like too have seen the log on the MAF when revving to confirm the ECU was seeing the same voltages/resistance at various temperatures
iii) I fitted a turbo gauge for real time analysis on the spooling and psi, slow but sure it maxes at around 9psi
iv) one of the first things I did was unplug the MAF and got my other half to go to the shops, she came back and made a cup of tea, at no point did she say the tractor was running slower.
I'd love to get the consult software running with this 4x4, but the Terrano is a 2000 and I've tried the plug conversion but to no avail.

It's going to be a case of checking voltages at the plug end to the ecu, if that checks out then a bosch maf from whoever at the best price available as I'm running out of options.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated
Cheers
D

Here's one for the Maverick owners, go into Ford and ask for the price for x1 Plastic Centre Cap for the 6 spoke alloys.......... or I can just tell you how much I was quoted
