Ok, so i got out of bed and had a cup of tea, got my cordless impact driver with a philips, a flat blade screwdriver, and a 14mm socket to drop of seatbelt swivels off pillars.

Pull off a, b and c pillar trims, all grab handels, sunvisors and interior lights and lining comes out, absolute piece of piss, took 15 mins and it was on floor

Now, to get the masking tape on the roof, roughly where it mounts. and mess about alining them

then the part where you need to commit and drill.

Drilled :) spot on, just need to go up town and get a 12mm drill bit. those big spacers drop in as i thought and sit on the cross bars

I just had a good look at you're roof and all the cross members are in the same place as mine. Even though its got a sunroof

If you carry ply it may be wise to put a rope from tow bar to front bull bar to stop taking off

well there is certainly not a cross member to support the front end of the bars in my swb van with no sun roof.

DONE !!

Not too bad at all. masked off and marked it up after doing a dry fit less bolts

Then drilled all the holes etc. those lugs were spacers for cross members as i suspected:

Rears were a bit tricky to access but not too bad:

I used 'evo stick- sticks like' which is something i use all the time for joinery related stuff. its flexible and sticks anything and is waterproof. now i used this stuff to form a bond between the roof skin and the side structure. this will take all the flex out of the front bit that is in the middle of 2 cross members:

and everywhere else:

And that was it, pretty straight forward:

That's pretty much the way I did my LWB rails onto my SWB :thumbs

you've done it identical to how i did, same mounting places and everything:D:thumbs:thumbs btw, what's you're roof lining like? is it fabric or like a fibre board? i'm wanting to upgrade the lining in my T2 for a fabric one but not sure if the newer ones are fabric:nenau
