Ebay Problem

Well like I said the main point is changing terms after the sale. I do look at feedback so yeah saw his record. I still smell a rat for this to be changed after payment has been made and as my wife says not worth risking a 250 mile round trip now this has happened.

Haven't read the full post yet but is there a member in that area who could go take a look?

There probably is and Im sure if there is then that could probably be arranged but already told the bloke Im not having them. He should of been straight and up front before the end of the sale. At the end of the day he broke eBays T&Cs by changing the terms of the sale after the sale had ended and payment accepted. He is probably honest and trying to protect himself but it's in eBays T&Cs that this change cannot be made. The seller has not been in touch since yesterday. If he can't cancel the sale then I'll contact eBay and let them sort it out. At the moment the item is stuck saying awaiting payment. There's a trail of evidence to support me so I'm ok.

The wings are now relisted and at least he has included cash on collection this time. Feel free to bid anyone, I certainly won't be.

e bay scams etc

I had a similar issue when I was the highest bidder for a set of Merc alloy wheels. I paid on Paypal and almost immediately my cash was refunded. I wanted the wheels so tried to contact the seller and he said there was a mistake in the listing. There were good photos of the wheels with the Merc Part number shown so I asked what the mistake was and never got a reply.

Following week I found another set of rims for sale by a lady that were cheaper and in better condition.
I drove to Stoke on Trent to collect to save postage where I found they were in better condition than described. They were almost new and had been in her late Fathers Shed for the last 10 years but he never got round to fitting them to his W124.

Used them for 5 years and re-sold them when I parted with the W 124 300TE 4 matic as I had kept the original steel wheels with just legal tyres.
