LPG injection

I have today been mainly fitting the gas LPG injection stuff :sly
Been boarding out the back to keep the tank covered so I can still load my tools etc.
Cut the floor tunnel out and recut it and welded it back up so it's all flat behind the seats. Makes room for the tank to fit:thumbs
Alu channel section bolted to the side and alu angle and plate to support the front end. Vertical timber panel including speaker positions.

Gas tank in situ just ready for strapping down

Access panel just covers it all tidy:thumbs

Fitted tie down points through the deck to the angle section below

I'll be plumbing in the engine bit tomorrow:naughty

LPG injection adds around 15 - 25% extra oomph :sly
Basically allows ALL the diesel to burn and so get a bigger bang:naughty

The very same thought went through my heed earlier today

I saw a HGV with a sticker saying 'running on compressed Natural gas':nenau

LPG N VegOil..... Sounds like the aftermath of sunday lunch:lol

Good plan, infact such a good plan I started today BUT like a twat I popped up the blacksmiths for some more alu angle and forgot to put the pins back in the bonnet
I now have a rather interestingly shaped bonnet and a completely smashed windscreen :doh:lol

It's probably fine as a kit but way too expensive for me :sly
I bought the tank off a guy who never fitted it, so it was new , 25 quid, the gas filler I got off a scrapper, the regulator thingy was about 35 quid I think, it's got BRC "Tecno" on the box, bought the plastic coated copper pipoe off fleabay and the cover hoses same place.
Bought new cut off solenoid and closed throttle solenoid too off ebay.
Tank straps from the scrap yard too:thumbs
I reckon about £90 so far
I've got to get a handful of j/clips and water pipe in the morning. Pipe clips are dirt cheap in the screw shop:thumbs
I'm no expert mate just got a good mate who will commission the system when I'm done

have you fitted the vent pipe from the valve cover out through the floor? it only needs a bit of rubber hose and is essential in case of leaks :thumb2

by the way your wood work looks way too neat, what are you some kind of kitchen fitter :augie

You can source good quality parts on tinterweb or fleabay and get a newish tank so it's still in date:thumbs
There's loads of people specialising in just pipe or clips or solenoids etc
If you dont mind doing the leg work then you can easily save half that and still be buying new bar the tank:sly
Is your's a LWB ? If so you can fit a smaller fuel tank AND have space for the tank under neath:clap

Got the supply pipe plumbed and vented today

Fill pipe has to go into the car and then out again and then in again
It's to stop any leaks filling the car with gas
So after some careful hole drilling and fitting "top hats" the pipe is finally fitted and plumbed.
Still got some of my fingers :doh
Hope to get the busy end in at the weekend :naughty
