ARP do bolts that will fit so thats no problem.

It's the 22:1 CR that's the issue - peak cylinder pressures are just too high even with moderate (22psi) of boost.

Somewhere around 220hp & 380ftlbs on the last dyno which was when the clutch started to slip.
Nice figures :sly You'll have to do some of your electrickery wizzadry on mine :naughty
I still haven't done my turbo mods:rolleyes:
Also found that the tunit can't cheat the system enough to get enough fuel over 15 psi boost:eek:

With a tunit / remap etc wound well up, the inj. pump will already be at max delivery. You'll find you get more in the midrange than the top end since the pump has less time to fill with fuel as rpm increases. An electric lift pump does help. The real numbers start after larger nozzles (I'm using some 2.8 trooper ones atm) and 12mm pump head but at that point the stock turbo and even the T28 is too small to be useful. You need airflow, not high boost pressures to make power.

That's good info ta. Now that inspires me to get on with the turbo mod:sly
Must get it done this week:thumbs

Pre turbo grunt is pretty good :sly but can be mental if I turn it up a bit:sly :naughty but probably not any good for the engine when the turbo comes in :augie SOOOOOO I've got this turbo boost controller and reckon I can get the switching mode on it to step down the LPG as the turbo comes in :thumbs
Check it

:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol
Just come back from my first long drive with the LPG on :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
It's more fun than I could have imagined AND I'm getting an enormously improved MPG too:sly
Motorway 70mph , a tad over 2500 rpm and in 5th there's just bucket loads of grunt on the fun pedal :clap:clap:clap:clap
Trouble is if I press said fun pedal to pass some poor bmw the clutch disagrees with the fun pedal and has bit of a fit:eek:
Hardly need to change gear at all now, I love it
Engine runs a bit hotter when testing the system though so I've had to put a fan back on :augie
LPG rocks

Cheers Brian, yep I've been turning the gas down honest :sly It's such a small amount now and still stunning:naughty I haven't had the fans on for ages but the fun peddle is forcing my to test the system thoroughly, so temp gauge was getting up to the middle:eek:
It's going in for a gas tune next week and hopefully a certificate of goodness:thumbs

It just gets better :D Went round a friends house earlier for some practical road testing :sly We found it will handle considerably more boost now without running out of fuel :D Bloody brilliant :D:D
Interesting effects with and without the Tunit switched on too:naughty
So will probably end up with some sort of gas controller ecu thingy :augie Anyone seen one?

ok ok come on guys own up..... how many of you when you press click to open this thread are anticipating the dreaded . she's blown the engine .

i'll admit i do ,

but when i see how chuffed pete is with his new toy its like christmas everyday

my question is what other gasses with burn injected like this ? what effects could result . what about oxygen

Safe and Sound

Had my LPG installation inspected today, and the man from Auto Gas said YES :thumbs So I know have the seal of approval and insurance again :D

Cheers mate and there's more to come :naughty
It'll take shed loads more boost now too, but I'll post that on the modified turbo thread :sly and mpg looks ace, details soon

Coo, do not think I would like to mess with Oxygen near an engine, oil and Oxygen mean explosive mix, I think the safeguards needed would out weigh the gains, Rick

Main problem I have is keeping the clutch together:D
BUT I can seriously upset and surprise at will :naughty It's hilarious:lol

i also read that steam injected into the air intake is effective too ?
