Shipping it to Bexhill best price I have had is £245, plus clutch (if it is the clutch) around £110, plus my cost £100 = £455, better than £633 and if it turns out to be the transfer box, I have a spare sitting on the workshop floor, also, I think you said that it was on a sloping drive, I would not attempt box out or engine out on anything other than flat ground, Rick
Alan, I have respect for you mate doing this yourself. The very best of luck. You've made a great start so far.
I remember bigbunny removing my rear propshaft and there was a small fluid loss from the rear diff.
Would you mind posting pics of the gear lever lower gaters please.
Cheers
Bloody 'ell mate you don't mess about :thumb2 I've never done owt like that but inwould take pics of anything complicated to make reassembly easier.
So far it's been mostly just nuts and bolts, but I have taken a few pictures as well.
Dropping the gearbox out is the bit that got me losing sleep!
Regards
Alan
