Hi all,

I have only just joined this forum and I bought a 2.5 Maverick GLS (1996) only last Friday, so I'm a tad new to this world.

As I live in Portugal, and 4x4 extras are sometimes hard to come by and when you can find anything it's usually a ruddy rip off. I already own a RR P38 and I have always bought anything I needed for it from the UK (and i have a huge list of links to UK sites). Now though I will have to start all over again in finding where to buy things from.

With that in mind, can anyone tell be where I could source the following:

  • Snorkle
  • Winch bumper
  • Rear heavy duty bumper
  • LED spots
  • Decent MT tyres (not retreads)

Thanks in advance.

There's a LWB on EBay that's a non-runner with some of the parts you're after. It used to belong to a member on here who built a pretty awesome truck. Unfortunately he sold it to a complete a-hole who's somehow wrecked the engine and or electrics.

Can you not get things from Spain? Would that be cheaper than getting some stuff from UK?
http://www.afn.pt/contacts.php Are Portuguese, aren't they?

That link is for a Portuguese site, but as usual they do not put the prices!

It's my experience that buying from the UK is the best option. What's more they seem to have more on offer. They is one more thing, lol, no VAT!

That's unfair!

No it isn't. If I buy things ex-VAT I then end up paying the full 23% of the selling price to the State instead of the 23% of just the profit. But if I do not sell said item I do not pay anything to the state.

:lol he's just jealous :lol

I'd definitely see what you can get from spain as terranos and mavericks are more common over there and so are aftermarket bits, in UK we have to buy the snorkel for a navara and make it fit, nobody does off the shelf bumpers and etc., but re-treads are not common.

Ah ok, better get my hablar español in order then.

Cheers.

How much does a winch bumper like this set you back in the UK?

Those bumpers are ruddy rip offs compared to what I've seen for other 4x4s!

What about snorkels, I have seen the following and if it is half decent it'll do:

https://www.direct4x4.co.uk/nissan-terrano-2-snorkel-kit

I had the same kit but from someone else I think, good quality but they aren't straight forward to fit, the snorkel itself is for a navara and the paper template isnt quite right.

There's a Spanish company that do a lot of custom parts for different manufacturers of 4x4.
Think that are called xterra 4x4 or something like that.
